上午10:00，我们在龙泉望瓯·美术馆见到了策展人万里雅先生。可能因为早年航海经历的缘故，万里雅总给人一种坚定、硬朗、果敢的感觉。
At10:00a.m.,wemetthecuratorMr.WanLiyainLongquanWangou-ArtMuseum.Mr.Wanalwaysgivespeopleafirm,hardandboldfeeling,probablybecauseofhisearlyyearsofsailingexperience.
作为较早开始现当代陶瓷艺术创作的中国艺术家之一，万里雅几乎亲历了中国陶瓷艺术三十多年来的现代性进程。他的作品一直在中国传统陶瓷技艺与现当代议题的表达中寻找关联与线索。作品被包括大英博物馆在内的多家美术馆、博物馆等公共机构和个人收藏。
AsoneoftheearliestChineseartistswhostartedtocreatecontemporaryceramicart,Mr.WanhasalmostexperiencedthemodernizationprocessofChineseceramicartformorethanthirtyyears.HisworkshavebeensearchingforconnectionsandcluesbetweentraditionalChineseceramictechniquesandtheexpressionofcontemporaryissues.Hisworksareinthecollectionsofmanyartgalleries,museumsandotherpublicinstitutions,includingtheBritishMuseum,aswellasindividualcollections.
作为现任国际陶艺学会（IAC）理事、中国区代表，他为中外陶瓷艺术的交流做出了许多重要的贡献，本次访谈我们很荣幸邀请到他来聊聊这次展览的主题和意义，以及他希望通过望瓯·艺术中心的国际化青瓷驻地项目和“厚德秉贞”展览为龙泉这座城市带来什么？

此次展览以“厚德秉贞”为题，能否请您详尽阐述策划此次展览的初衷和选择展览主题的意义？

A:我选择“厚德秉贞”为主题有两方面的考虑：一是青瓷温润如玉的材料和釉色所具有的独特表现力，与中国传统审美相契合，且经常被人们与道德情操和人格魅力联系起来。在今天，艺术家还可以运用这种独特魅力和个人的工作方式做出怎样的表达？另一方面，也是希望通过这次驻地艺术家针对青瓷的集中创作，能够提倡一种朴素沉稳的工作状态、严谨平和的工作态度。这也是我希望这次活动所能成就的现实意义。

在甄选参展艺术家时，您遵循了哪些准则与考量？

A:所邀请驻场的艺术家，无论是在作品风格还是工作方法上，都有显著的个人特征。所以，我希望能够以多元的角度对青瓷的制作工艺、表现力和艺术表达方式等方面做出尽可能多的尝试。某种程度上说，这些艺术家也是契合“厚德秉贞”这个主题。

您认为举办此次展览对于推动艺术与文化交流具有怎样的意义？
Whatdoyouthinkisthesignificanceoforganizingthisexhibitiontopromoteartandculturalcommunication
A:我并没有那么大的奢望，也没有那么大的能力通过一次展览，就能起到推动艺术和文化交流的作用。如果这个展览，在当下繁荣热闹的陶瓷艺术界，在未来中国陶艺发展过程中，能够成为一个有明确针对性和参考价值的案例，我的工作就及格了。

A:对于龙泉青年及其他群体（在地青瓷手艺人、驻地手艺人、陶瓷艺术爱好者、学术行业从业者等）来说，能够给他们带来新鲜感，从而引发他们换一个视角去审视他们所熟悉的深厚传统。引发他们去深入探究不同的思维和技法的兴趣，是我希望这个展览能够达到的效果。还有就是在整个驻场创作期间，中外艺术家通过与本土艺术家和在地手艺人的交流收获颇丰。

万里雅，1963年生于山东青岛。1988年毕业于青岛远洋船员学院，2009-2010中央美院壁画系高研班，陶瓷领域艺术家，现任国际陶艺学会IAC理事—中国区代表（国际陶艺学会IAC，是联合国教科文组织文化合作机构）。客座执教青岛电影学院，美国西北大学、密西根大学。
