深圳自然博物馆为深圳市政府投资建设的大型公共建筑，深圳“新时代十大文化设施”之一。项目招标方为深圳市建筑工务署工程设计管理中心，招标协助方为深圳市有方空间文化发展有限公司。现面向全球展陈设计团队开放预报名及投标意向登记。

深圳自然博物馆以“中国领先，世界一流”为定位，将用实物诠释自然演化规律，展示“地理空间上的深圳、全球视野中的生态”，做“有科学传播力”的自然博物馆。
ShenzhenNaturalHistoryMuseumaimstobeleadinginChinaandfirst-classintheworld,interpretingthelawsofnaturalevolution,showing"geographiesofShenzhenandecologyintheglobalperspective".Itistobecomeanaturalhistorymuseum"toactivelyadvocatescience".
项目选址于坪山区燕子湖片区，建设用地面积暂定4.2万平方米，总建筑面积暂定10万平方米,初步规划建设陈列展览区、公共服务区、科普教育区、藏品保管保护区、综合业务与学术研究区五大主要功能区。展陈工程投资约12亿元人民币。
ThemuseumwillbeintheareaaroundYanziLake,PingshanDistrict.TheMuseummaycoveranareaof42,000㎡withagrossfloorareaof100,000㎡,includingexhibitionarea,publicservicearea,scienceeducationarea,collectionstorageandconservationarea,administrationandacademicresearcharea.Theinvestmentfortheexhibitioninstallationistentativelysetas1.2billionRMB.
深圳自然博物馆室内展陈建筑面积暂定3.4万平方米，以自然演化为主题，展出动植物标本、矿物标本及古生物化石等藏品，同时展示地球上生命的起源及发展、地质构造与地形地貌的关系、生态系统的发展和变化等内容。
Theindoorexhibitionareaistentativelyplannedtobe34,000㎡,withthethemeofnaturalevolution,includinganimalandplantspecimens,mineralspecimensandpaleontologicalfossils,aswellastheoriginanddevelopmentoflifeonearth,therelationshipbetweengeologicalstructureandtopography,andecosystem,etc.
陈列展览区以“6+1+3”的展览模式构建：-以“演化”为核心概念的6个常设展览（宇宙万象、幸运地球、壮阔生命、植物王国、动物世界、人之由来）；-以“人与自然”为核心、立足深圳、面向湾区、辐射华南的1个深圳专题展厅；-用于联合国内外自然博物馆举办精品交流展的3个临时展厅。
Theexhibitionareaisbasedonthe"6+1+3"mode:-Sixpermanentexhibitionswiththecoreconceptof"evolution"(VastUniverse,LuckyEarth,MagnificentLife,PlantKingdom,AnimalWorld,OriginofHuman);-OnespecialexhibitionofNatureinShenzhenfacingtheBayAreaandradiatingSouthChinawith"HumanandNature"asthecorevalue.-Threetemporaryexhibitionhallsareforexquisiteexchangeexhibitions,whichwillcooperatewithdomesticandforeignnaturalhistorymuseums.
