Forthepast30years,artistshavebeenaskedtomakeworksthatrelatetocitylifeortotheneighborhoodaroundatrainstation.TherearecoastalscenesatstationsneartheAtlanticOcean.NativeplantsandflowerscanbefoundinagardensceneinBrooklyn.WildlifemosaicsgreetvisitorsarrivingatthesubwaystationnexttotheAmericanMuseumofNaturalHistory.SculptorTomOtternesscreatedthesmall,rounded,metalcreaturesthatpopulateanotherstation.
