Coursestructure
Semesters1&2(October–June)
Thefirsttwosemestersconsistofeighttaughtunits,co-designedandco-taughtwithemployers.Theyprovideafoundationinthemostsignificantissuesrelatedtoworkinginkeycarbon-dominatedbuiltenvironmentsectorsandprofessionaldevelopment.Eachunitcompriseslectures,tutorials,practicalclassesandworkshopsalongsidetimeforpersonalstudy.Assessmentisbyacombinationofcourseworkandoralexamination.
Semester3(July–September)
Thethirdsemesterconsistsofathree-monthprofessionalpracticeplacement.Workshopsduringthefirsttwosemesterswillhelpyouimproveyouremployabilityandprepareyoutoundertakeaplacementatoneofourpartnercompanies.Assessmentisbyreportandpresentationtoyourplacementemployer.
Or,ifyoupassalltaughtunitswithanoverallaverageofatleast50%butareunabletogoonplacementforanyreason,youwilltransferontoour12-monthprogramme.Youwillspendthethirdsemesterundertakingyourresearchdissertationand,onsuccessfulcompletion,willgraduatewiththeawardofMScinLowCarbonBuildingDesign.
Semester4(October–December)
Thefinalsemesterconsistsofaresearchdissertation.Thisprovidesastart-to-finishresearchexperiencetoembedtheresearchandprofessionalknowledgegainedthroughouttheprogramme.Itbuiltsontheskillsacquiredinthetaughtcomponentandisinformedbytheneedsofyourindustrialplacementprovider.

第三学期有三个月的专业实习。前两个学期的工作小组会帮助你改善雇佣能力为你准备在与学校合作的公司中的实习。评定根据报告和实习公司反应做出。
或者，如果你所有课程平均成绩50%以上，但是因为某些原因不能参与实习，你将会转入12个月的课程。如果你在第三学期完成研究论文，你将获得低碳建筑设计的理科硕士学位。
第四学期(10月到12月)

ProfessionalPracticeReports
ThePlacementProfessionalPracticeunithasthreemaincomponents:
POLOReport(PersonalObjectivesandLearningOutcomes)–thisisareflectivereportwhereyouwillfocusonthesetofskillsandknowledgeyouhadbeforeandafterplacement.
PlacementReport–thisreportisdevelopedintwophases(interimandfinal)anditreferstotheresearchthatyouhavedonewhilstonplacement.Thisreportwillcontributetoyourdissertation.
Presentation–youwillhavetopresenttheresultsofyourplacementexperienceandresearchfindingstoyourplacementmentorandteamoncetheplacementisfinished.

专业实习报告
专业实习包括以下三方面：

展示-你将必须在实习完成后，向你的实习导师和团队进行展示你的实习经历的结果以及你的研究发现。
