随着时代的发展，我国与外国的交往越来越多，因此学外语的人也越来越多，什么英语。德语、日语、韩语都有，就连我老妈也跟上了潮流。
一天，老妈心血来潮，非要我教她英语，说是学好了好教我弟弟赵玉。我是又高兴又担心。老妈这么有上进心，我得好好教她。可妈妈这么大年纪了，能学会吗？
我搬了张小凳子，让妈妈坐下，又拿来弟弟的“3A”英语课本，从26个字母教起。
“A、B、C、D”，我教一句，妈妈跟着读一句，发音还蛮准哩！我高兴地说：“呀，老妈，学得挺快的！”妈妈笑了笑说：“你老妈什么人，没有我的聪明，能有这么能干的女儿吗？”我看看妈妈，一本正经地说：“好、好，可别骄傲啊，这才开始呢！”
“L、M、N……”我又指着书上的字母念。“什么饿儿呀？你饿了，妈给你弄吃的去。”妈妈看看我说。我晕！我提高了嗓音说：“我不饿。不是‘饿儿’，是‘哎儿’。跟我说‘哎儿”’。“‘饿儿’，‘饿儿’，对吗？”我老妈还真顽固。“不对。”我大叫一声，“‘哎儿’。”“‘饿儿’。”老妈就是改不过来。“你怎么这么笨！”我有些不耐烦了。“老师，你别着急，妈这不是在跟你学吗？”老妈笑容满面地说。“好、好，再读，‘哎儿’。”我耐着性子继续教。“饿、饿……儿。”老妈把嘴张得老大，“饿”了半天还是没读准。我的天哪！我一啪脑门儿，唉，这可没法教了。弟弟在一旁都笑弯了腰。妈妈却像丈二和尚——摸不着头脑。
我镇静下来，对妈妈说：“妈，看我的嘴。”我放下书，把两只手的中指伸进嘴巴里，然后轻轻一拉，从嗓子里发出“哎——”的声音。老妈真乖，也学着我的样子，把嘴巴拉得老长，嗓子里竟然发出了“哎儿”的声音。弟弟看着妈妈的嘴，大牙都差点笑掉。我一把搂住妈妈的脖子亲了一口，说：“老妈，你真有才。”妈妈也高兴起来。“‘哎儿’、‘哎儿’。”又连续念了好几遍。“不就是把嘴巴扁着念吗？小菜一碟！再来。”妈妈不无骄傲地说。
“好，今天就学到这儿，下课。”我合上书笑着说。妈妈站起身子，向我鞠了个躬说：“谢谢老师，老师休息。”
唉，今天这“哎儿”搞的，以后不知道还要闹出多少笑话呢！
我为英语狂我对英语一直都很感兴趣，也特别地有天赋。我平时最喜欢上英语课，学起来特别快，也记得很牢。这次期末考试，我的英语考了全班第一名，更激发了我对英语的兴趣。

生活中有很多事都能让我们得到启示，如小草顽强生长、蜜蜂勤劳采蜜、老师辛勤教育等。令我印象最深的，还是四年级时的一次英语测试。
英语课上，蒋老师正眉飞色舞地讲着课，临下课前，她对我们说：“明天英语要小测验，课后请大家认真复习。”“啊”那些英语成绩不好的同学都叫苦不迭，而我和几个英语成绩非常好的同学都高兴不已，英语考试不是手到擒来的事嘛。
回到家，我把书包往沙发一扔，以最快的速度把作业写完，拿出电脑，看起了动画片，玩得不亦乐乎。晚上，妈妈回来了，我对她自信满满地说：“明天英语测试，一百分稳拿了。”妈妈以为我已经复习完了，就带我到小区散步去了。
第二天的英语课，老师一把试卷发下来，我就“唰唰唰”地写起来。我发现这些题都是我做过的，题目还没读完，我就开始答题，不一会儿就写完了。我开始东张西望，发现其他同学都还没写完呢，我得意了起来，竟忘了检查。“张琼月，你做完了就交卷吧。”蒋老师温和地说道。于是，我在众目睽睽之下，得意地昂着头，交了试卷。没过一会，蒋老师轻声对我说：“下课后去我办公室一趟。”
“叮铃铃”下课的铃声响了，我来到了蒋老师办公室，“老师，有什么事吗”蒋老师严肃地对我说：“看看你的试卷吧。”说完，她把试卷递给我。我一下子看到了鲜红的分数“90分”，“天呐!这是怎么回事”蒋老师又严厉地对我说：“你知道为什么考不好吗因为你没有仔细读题，更没有认真检查，你太骄傲了。”听了老师的话，我羞愧地低下了头。
走出老师办公室，我分析了这次考试失利的原因：我太骄傲了，没有认真对待这次测试。“谦虚使人进步，骄傲使人落后”，我不由想到了这句至理名言，吸取了这次教训，这句话也深深地记在了我的心里。

英语一直是我最头痛的一门功课。因为在我看来有无数个毫无规律的英语单词要背诵，还有那莫名其妙的听力，都令我烦恼不已。但这学期我发现我似乎对这门讨厌的功课产生了兴趣。
事情的起因是爸爸出差到北京，给我带回了一台“读书郎”英语同步读书机。我立刻被它漂亮的外表吸引住了，因为它像一台高档的笔记本电脑。打开读书机，左边是音标，分为元音、辅音；右边是26个英语字母。最大的好处是它可以下载我上课用的pep教材。妈妈让我打开英语课本，翻到第1页，把读书机中的页码调至相同页码，我再用那神奇的信号笔一点，点到哪儿，读书机就发出标准的读音，点第二遍时它就译出这个单词的中文含义，真是太神奇了！
刚开始几天，我每天一放学就抱着这台“读书郎”，渐渐地新鲜劲也就过去了。妈妈看准了时机，立即调动我的积极性，把老师当天教的英语单词分批教我，并慢慢告诉我这个字母在单词中所发的音。这样，日积月累，慢慢地我对有些字母的发音规律也有所掌握。正像妈妈所说的那样，一旦你会读准这个单词，那么这个单词的一半已被记住，只要稍一用心，就可记住全部。妈妈告诉我：学习英语要循序渐进，因为记忆会衰减，所以学单词时，先学一遍，过一会儿复习一遍，到第二天再复习一遍，一星期、一个月内再次复习，这样能把短期记忆变成长期记忆。这种方法叫作“思马德记忆”。按照妈妈所说的方法，我试了一下。哎，果真有效果！渐渐地我对背诵单词有点窍门了。这个学期六个单元所要求的四会单词，我全部做到了会“听、说、读、写”。
因为背诵单词有了明显的进步，得到了老师的表扬，我的学习热情倍增，对听力也产生了兴趣。现在我拿到听力课文，不象以前那样手忙脚乱，而是先把课文、图案看一遍。如果是选择题，我会看清图案，了解这几幅图的大致含义，再听录音。我现在能抓住几个重点词语与图案进行对照，基本能做到准确无误。对阅读也同样，抓住几个关键词语和下面的问题进行对照。
