可是，你们知道吗长城却是无情的，它是花费百万百姓的生命修筑起来，每一块灰色的大石头都沾满了囚犯和被放逐者的血泪!在气魄雄伟的长城后，有一个感人的故事——孟姜女哭长城。古代有一个女子，她的名字叫孟姜女，嫁给了一名男子，幸福地生活在海边的一个小镇上。好景不长，秦始皇下令修筑长城，除了60岁以上的老人及妇女小孩之外，其它的人都要去修长城。这个消息很快传开了，孟姜女的父母不想美好的生活被破坏，就把孟姜女的丈夫藏起来，但还是被秦始皇的士兵找到了。
日复一日，年复一年，孟姜女的丈夫还没回来。于是她决定去找自己的丈夫。孟姜女身背寒衣，历尽艰辛，来到长城边，却得到丈夫因饥寒劳累而死的消息。孟姜女痛苦不已，号陶大哭，孟姜女一哭，长城倒了十几公里，最后孟姜女绝望地跳海而死。
