静安区图书馆（新闸路馆）以书画艺术类和海关类图书为馆藏特色。书画艺术类图书收藏了《中国美术全集》、《中国现代美术全集》、《中国古代书画图目》、《淳化阁帖》、《中国法帖全集》、《米芾书法全集》、《敦煌石窟艺术全集》、《良友画报》等艺术精品。海关类图书收藏了《中国旧海关史料》、《中国旧海关与近代社会图史》、《美国哈佛大学图书馆藏末刊中国旧海关史料》（1860-1949）、《中国海关志》、《中国近代海关总税务司通令全编》等珍贵海关史料。
Jing'anDistrictLibrary(XinzhaRoadLibrary)wasopenedtothepublicin1958.LocatedfromNo.1702toNo.1708,XinzhaRoad,itcoversabuildingareaof6280squaremetersandhas792readingroomseats.TheLibraryconsistsofacomprehensivebuilding&theCustomsBuilding.Insidethecomprehensivebuilding,thereareChineseBooksBorrowingRoom,Newspaper&PeriodicalReadingRoom,ReferenceLiteratureReadingRoom,ChineseLiteratureReadingRoomI,ChineseLiteratureReadingRoomⅡ,Auditorium,Audio-visualRoom,Multi-mediaReadingRoomandSelf-studyRoom.Builtin1931,theCustomsBuildingisanoutstandinghistoricalbuildinginBritisharchitecturalstyle,whichwasformerlynamedROCCustomsLibrary.InsidetheCustomsbuilding,thereareMulti-purposeCulturalExhibitionHallandSpecialCollectionsReadingRoom.
