Thepurposeofthislististokeeptrackofnewdigitalhumanitiesdatabasesandprojectswhilebecomingacquaintedwiththosethathavebeencreatedforawhile,butnotnecessarilyfamiliartoallscholarsandstudentsacrossdisciplines.Therearealreadysomelistsondigitalsourcesthatcanbereadilyaccessible,butnotallofthesourcestheycitearereadilyaccessible(PAYWALL!!),norwouldallofthembeconsistentlyupdatedtoincludenewandexcitingprojectswiththepotentialtotransformhowwestudytheancientMediterraneanWorldandEuropeingeneral.Databasesprovidedbymajorpublishersororganizationsalsotendtobeprohibitivelyexpensive.Theyoftencomeintheformofmonetizablerepositoriesforproprietarymaterials,andnotnecessarilyrepresentativeofnewideasandattemptstomakesenseofdataandevidence.

AdigitalarchiveofLatinpoetry,fromitsoriginstotheItalianRenaissancewasestablishedattheendof2005withthemaingoalofcreatingasingulardatabaseofLatinpoetry,supportedbyacriticalandexegeticalelectronicapparatus.Atpresent,maincollectionsofclassicaltextshavebeentransferredontodigitaldevicewhileresources,mostlyonline,allowquickerlexicalsearches.Inmostcases,however,searchengineinquiryonlyprovidesresultsofakeyinsideafixand‘authoritarian’text.TheaimofMusisqueDeoqueistoovercometheselimitations,allowingtolocatenotonlytheformschosenfromthetextofareferenceedition,butalsothevariantsinitscriticalapparatus.
