国画家陆鹤龄号虚石，祖籍安徽合肥，1944年12月生于陕西西安。擅长中国画。自习绘画。早年攻读于中国美术学院国画系研修生班两年。1981年入浙江美术学院中国画系进修导师方增先。为国家一级美术师，中国美术家协会理事，安徽省美术家协会常务副主席。
1963年国画家陆鹤龄以其专业能力，被录用至合肥市工人俱乐部任专职美工，工作之余兼攻文、史、哲各类课目，先后在业余职专与职工大学求读；
1969年国画家陆鹤龄文革期间，因家庭出身而遣放至工厂。十年间，忍辱负重奋发进取，追求艺术痴心不改；
1976年国画家陆鹤龄以前主要油画代表作品《后继有人》《会战前夕》等，曾先后入选省美展及选送全国美展；
1979年国画家陆鹤龄年底调至安徽省博物馆研究部供职专事古代艺术的研究始起涉猎古代绘画及各类艺术藏品；
1983年国画家陆鹤龄中国画《南方少女》入选国家文化部组办的“浙江美术学院师生作品展”赴美国纽约、蒙大拿、苏明尼等城市展出，该作品当年被母校所收藏；
1984年国画家陆鹤龄任安徽省博物馆艺术研究部主任时起，先后主持《安徽古代艺术展》、《中国台北故宫博物院书画名迹展》等，为其撰写发表论文及作品介绍，达数万字；
1986年国画家陆鹤龄往返北京合肥，经办原国家地质矿产部部长孙大光先生捐赠各类古代艺术珍藏品200余件，筹办《孙大光捐赠珍藏书画作品展》，千秋功德之举，社会影响巨大；
1987年国画家陆鹤龄任安徽省博物馆副馆长，二级美术师；中国画《女娲补天》、《千秋光华》、《早春雏鸣》、《夏荷图》、《牧归图》入选安徽现代中国画展赴德国汉诺威等地展出；中国画《傣女》、《知音》、《村姑》入选国家文化部组办的赴中国驻外使馆的巡回画展；
6月和德国下萨克森州民族博物馆馆长violakonig博士合著德文版《中国安徽古代艺术》论集在德出版；
1989年国画家陆鹤龄编著出版大型画集《四味书屋珍藏书画集》，获首届中国优秀图书铜牌奖、安徽省优秀图书一等奖；
1991-2001年国画家陆鹤龄先后组织或主持音乐、舞蹈、戏曲、美术、摄影等理论研讨和各种表演、展览活动达近百项；
1991年国画家陆鹤龄任安徽省艺术馆馆长；出版《陆鹤龄中国画选集》，选入作品79篇；
1993-1996年国画家陆鹤龄主持制定《省艺术馆文化事业发展规划》；不仅改变了省馆一穷二白落后面貌，同时创造了国有资产高附加值的增值效应，为我省社会文化事业的发展作出较为突出表率与贡献，受到国家文化部、省委、省政府领导高度评价和表彰，在国内同行及全省文化战线产生了较大的影响；
1993年国画家陆鹤龄评晋一级美术师，为当时本省美术界最年轻的正高职衔专家；
1996年国画家陆鹤龄评晋为享受省政府特殊津贴的专家；
1997年国画家陆鹤龄《人民日报》刊发照片并发表专评《调换人生频道》——陆鹤龄的艺术人生；
1998年国画家陆鹤龄赴新加坡、泰国、马来西亚进行艺术考察；
1999年国画家陆鹤龄受中国文化部、国家人事部表彰，在“全国文化先进工作者表彰大会”上，被授予“全国文化先进工作者”称号；

2007年国画家陆鹤龄为中国美协的“中国美术家慰问驻香港部队慰问团”成员，访问期间创作4幅作品，其中“香江港湾”作品赠予总部；驻港部队司令员王继堂中将、政委张汝成中将等会见；
作品《荷韵图》参与“华东六省一市中国画作品展”；
2008年12月，国画家陆鹤龄推选为第七届中国美术家协会代表大会代表，再次当选为中国美协理事；
2009年国画家陆鹤龄创作作品8幅，率安徽美协主席团成员暨十七市主席一行30余人，首次进入广东东莞艺展中心举办“徽风皖韵-安徽名家书画作品展”；创作国画“雪域高原上的母亲”获奖；
12月13日广州第十五届国际艺术博览会书画拍卖专场，征集藏家的收藏的本人国画作品《牧春图》四尺整幅、以人民币15万元竞拍成交、《滇南春》四尺对开、以人民币9万元竞拍成交；国画作品“滇南傣女”入选中国美术家协会组办“霸州·中国画名家作品展”；

In2009,LuHeling,aChinesepainter,createdeightpaintings,leadingmorethan30membersofthePresidiumoftheAnhuiAssociationofFineArtsandthechairmanof17cities,andforthefirsttimeenteredtheDongguanArtExhibitionCenterofGuangdongProvincetoholdthe"HuifengAnhuiRhyme-AnhuiFamousCalligraphyandPaintingExhibition".HewontheprizeforthecreationoftheChinesepainting"MotherontheSnowyPlateau".

OnDecember13,the15thGuangzhouInternationalArtFairheldaspecialauctionofcalligraphyandpainting.Thecollector'scollectionofhisChinesepainting"Muchuntu"wasfourfeetinlength,withabidofRMB150,000yuan,SouthYunnanSpringfourfeetinpairs,andwithRMB90,000yuan.TheChinesepainting"DaiNuinSouthYunnan"wasselectedastheChineseArtistsAssociation.OrganizingtheexhibitionoffamousChinesepainters'worksinBazhou;
