什么是Elearning

E-learning(ASTD的定义)Termcoveringawidesetofapplicationsandprocesses,suchasWeb-basedlearning,computer-basedlearning,virtualclassrooms,anddigitalcollaboration.ItincludesthedeliveryofcontentviaInternet,intranetextranet(LANWAN),audioandvideotape,satellitebroadcast,interactiveTV,CD-ROM,andmore.

电子化学习涵盖了基于网络的学习、基于电脑的学习、虚拟教室以及数字化协作等一系列技术的运用和过程.它包括利用利用因特网、局域网广域网、录音像带、卫星广播、互动电视、光盘等等途径传递学习内容)后来电脑的出现,人们开始基于电脑进行学习(CBT,Computerbasedtraining),再后来网络出现,人们又利用网络传递培训内容进行学习(WBT,Webbasedtraining)。

广义上讲,无论是CBT还是WBT,或者光盘、电视等等都是e-learning的一种形式。

由于互联网对人们生活和工作的巨大影响,现在人们对e-learning有了全新的认识,也有了全新的定义(也称为狭义的e-learning),即e-learning是基于因特网提供的一系列能强化知识和绩效的解决方案,是利用网络等电子技术实现对学习全过程(分析、设计、开发、实施和评估)的实施和管理,使学习者获取知识或技能,改变观念,提高绩效和竞争力。

因此e-learning具有三大基本特征:

-利用标准的因特网技术,经由电脑传递给终端客户;关键特点是使用因特网技术和网络浏览器,形成全球通用的传送平台;

-注重最全面的学习,包括学习管理,以及传送有助于提升绩效的资讯和工具。

因此那些仅仅通过电脑、电视、卫星甚至互联网等手段传送培训内容,而没有进行学习过程管理、没有提供互联的功能、没有提供资讯和工具,充其量只是向学员输送了自学资料,而不是真正意义上的e-learning.

因此真正意义上的e-learning,必须具备以下三个要件:

-学习内容

-学习管理系统

-网络基础(比如宽带)

根据学习对象和学习目的不同,在线学习又可以分为:

-针对学生的在线教育

-针对企业的企业在线学习

在线教育的对象是学生,无论是小学生、大学生乃至成人,其目的主要是提高个人的素质。根据学生不同年龄阶段的需求,在线教育体现出各种特征和要求。这里不详细叙述。

企业在线学习的对象主要是企业员工,也包括客户或者其他商业伙伴,其最终目的是提高企业的经营绩效。企业的绩效是通过学员的工作绩效达成的,因此企业在线学习与在线教育最大的区别就是必须产生经济效益,也就是说企业的投入必须有经济回报。
