Thefirst“forestlibrary”inShanghairecentlyopenedtothepublic,givingreadersthechancetorelaxandreadinanaturalenvironment.KnownasRead&JoyForest,theforestlibrarywasjointlylaunchedbyPudongNewAreaandShanghaiLibraryandislocatedinanurbangreenspaceareanearShanghaiLibraryEast.Coveringanareaof20,546squaremeters,itallowsvisitorstotakeapleasantwalkinthequietandverdantforest,whichincludesCamphor,CedarandOsmanthustrees.
近日，上海首个森林图书馆“悦读森林”面向公众开放，该图书馆由浦东新区和上海图书馆联合推出，位于上海图书馆东馆附近的城市绿地区域，占地20546平方米。可以让游客在种满香樟、雪松、桂花树的安静而青翠的森林中愉快地散步。

该森林图书馆的设计采取了低影响开发的手法。现有的绿色空间通过链接交通、引入林下木栈道。

图书馆是露天的，在环境中还增添了长凳、信息亭等设施。

“悦读森林”的大部分来访者是年轻人和带孩子的家长，他们或是潜心阅读，或是在林间漫步。
