Suddenly,aplayerandIcrashedintoeachother.Painracedthroughmybody.Mykneehurtbadly.Theteamgatheredaround,lookingworried.Thelastquarterwasabouttobegin,andmyteamwasbehindby10points.
突然，我和一名球员撞到了一起，疼痛在我身上迅速蔓延。我的膝盖受伤严重。球队围在我身边，看起来很担心。最后一节即将开始，我们队已经落后10分。
“Idon’tthinkIcanplayanymore,coach,”Isaidquietlyasthedoctorputanicepackonmyknee.

Pauljumpedupandrushedontothecourt.Andclearly,alltheextrahoursthathe’dspentpractisingalonepaidoff.Theotherteamjustcouldn’tkeepupwithhisenergyandspeed.Hemadeshotaftershot,andthecrowdcouldn’tstopclappingandcheering.
Whenthegameended,ourteamhadwonbytwopoints.
比赛结束时，我们队以两分的优势赢得了比赛。
“Well,”saidthecoachashehitPaulontheshoulder,“you’vejustearnedyourplaceontheteam,bigguy!”
