Atomicphysicsisanimportantfundamentalcourseforphysicsmajorsandengineeringstudentswhohavealreadycompletedanintroductorycalculus-basedphysicscourse.Thecontentsofthiscoursemaybesubdividedintotwobroadcategories:anintroductiontothetheoriesofquantumphysicsandapplicationsofelementaryquantumtheorytoatom,molecular,solid-state,nuclear,andparticlephysics。
Ourbasicobjectivesinthiscoursearethreefold:
(1)Toprovidesimple,clear,andmathematicallyuncomplicatedexplanationsofphysicalconceptsandtheoriesofmodernphysics.
(2)Toclarifyandshowsupportforthesetheoriesthroughabroadrangeofcurrentapplicationsandexamples.Inthisregard,wehaveattemptedtoanswerquestions,suchas:ThespectrumofhydrogensandtheirenergylevelWhatistheatomiceffectivemagneticmomentHowtoexplainthefinestructureandZeemaneffectsWhatistheX-rayHowtoarrangetheelectronsinatom

教学计划
一、本课程共10章,57个教学微视频,视频总时长达574分钟。二、本课程共48个学时,3学分。三、本课程配套线下教材为《原子物理学》。四、教学计划如下:(1)第1至4章:量子物理基础理论。(2)第5至8章:原子的基本结构。(3)第9至10章:应用和推广。五、授课方式介绍线上、线下相结合。六、成绩评价:采用过程性评价与终结性评价相结合的线上评价体系;成绩是以“视频观看时长、完成作业、测试、考试及论坛发帖”之成绩为计算依据,分数占比如下:
